HOU 4, NYY 0; Yankees eliminated

All's well on the fam-ergency front as of this writing! So let's get to it: Dodgers/Astros World Series! Happy for the Houstoneers, if not terribly surprised -- by the outcome, anyway. We had dinner guests and were not necessarily paying attention to the game, but from what I saw, los Yanquis just...couldn't. Not a single point for any of them on the way out. I thought this would be closer.

Altuve 4
Bregman 1
Correa 2
Springer 1

Morton 4

Leaving us:

Chapman
Judge
Severino

Valid picks that ended up not doing quiiiiiite enough, especially Sevsie, our numerical LVP for this series.

The money looks a bit different:

120 Yuhan 2
107 Bauer Noobs and Shotwell 2
96 Currie 1

followed fairly closely by

94 Cooley
92 Shotwell 1

Best of the rest, and who's out, after the jump.

90 Williams

87 Stempelombie

79 Reid Classic
76 MArbour 2 and Powell
73 Drake 1 and Bingham 2
72 Tormey
71 Ansell
70 Brady

68 Winklepleck
67 Bingham 1, Zombunting, and Reid DS
65 Elodie and Camerons 1
64 Drake 2

48 JArbour
46 Camerons 2
45 Simone
41 Bunting 2 and Currie 2

39 MArbour 1

The Yanks loss did not leave any slates pick-less...but it's that time again in the BPP where we have to face some unpleasant arithmetic, to wit: those of us with a single non-unique hitter pick remaining are not going to catch the leaders.

And so it is that slates 50 or more points off the pace that do not also possess a unique pick or pick combination will no longer appear in the updates. By way of example: Winklepleck stays in, as nobody else has Altuve and Seager. Bunting 1 is out, as everyone else who has Turner is no longer in the same area code points-wise. I'm sorry to say that following slates are out; sorry, friends, and better luck next year.

Bunting 1
Reid Designated Slater
Richardson slates
Camerons slates
JArbour
MArbour 1
Currie 2

I should probably be more ruthless with the cuts, in fact, but if you wish to appeal your slate's ouster, bunting at tomatonation dot com is where you file that. That's also where you note math errors, if you find any. I'm going to go put my feet up and try to cram all the scripted entertainment I've been blowing off the last few weeks -- but I'll be watching on Tuesday, Keuchel v. Kershaw in the Fall Classic. Good luck, everyone!

This Kluber/Keuchel fiasco is gonna cost me my reputation (and a few bucks) isn’t it? D’oh!!! 😟 🤦🏼‍♂️
