CWS 12, HOU 6

Don't know how much longer this postpones the inevitable, but the Hose hammered Houston (I would apologize, but I'm not sorry) to stave off the sweep.

Anderson 3
Moncada 2
Robert 1

Altuvarez 0
Tucker 6

Tucker and Franco our MVPs so far this round, and our standings have settled down a bit...for now.

24: Bingham 1
20: Richardson and Fell 1
19: Yuhan 2

18: The Arbausetler Troika
17: Shotwell 2

Everyone else, plus Baseball Prom II, after the jump...

15: Winklepleck, Johnson 2, and Cayenne 2
12: Bauer 2 and Shotwell 1
11: Grove and Johnson 1

10: Crase and Yuhan 1
9: Cameron 2 and SDB 2
8: Cayenne 1 and Arbour 2

7: Stempel and Quinn
6: Tormey, Wonsetler 1, and Fell 2
5: Bingham 2, SDB 1, and Cameron 1

reports of Brady's and Dunn's demises: not all that greatly exaggerated

Could everything change by this time tomorrow? Sure could, because everybody plays again today:

1 PM ET -- MIL at ATL (TBS)
3:40 -- HOU at CWS (FS1)
7 -- TB at BOS (FS1)
9:40 -- SF at LAD (TBS)

Astros and Red Sox both looking to move up to the ALCS. The latter eventuality leaves the pool a smoking crater, but with the Sox starting a guy with a fluffy ERA and the Rays going with [checks notes] T. Beady, we'll probably get a bunch of points on our way to the fireworks factory, right?

I'll probably see you around dinnertime ET with an update. Good luck!

Its blowing my mind that the Rays could be out today -- I thought they might win the whole thing!

"Stempel and Quinn," if that isn't the name of a new detective show coming this Fall, it sure ought to be!

Ha! Stempel is in!
