BOS 11, CLE 2 (AL Champs)

Before I get to the business at hand, a note for David Ortiz: Papi, love you, really, but don't put on the clubhouse-celebration champagne goggles until the Indians have officially lost the game and left the field. Nobody thinks they're coming back from nine runs down, but that shit is still tacky, and it's one thing for Manny to pull crap like that; you should know better.

We could point to a few key plays where Cleveland biffed something and took themselves out of it -- the third-base coach holding Lofton up, the Keystone business in short left -- but I think their pitching just ran out of gas. I had a feeling this would happen once Boston got their feet back in the door, and so it did.

And with that, I leave you, in the company of Andrew and Zach.

Boston pickers get 2 for the win, another 1 for the blowout, and of course 10 for winning the pennant; Angela snags 3 Dice Ks.

Still in it:

90: Tom
84: Broomfield/Romine
69: Aaron C.
67: Matt, Aaron M., Lauren
65: Jill
44: John
33: Maria Trips
16: Angela

We've got a bunch of shared picks left, which means, functionally, that it's a fight between Tom and Broomfield/Romine for the big money, but you never know, Dice-K could throw a couple no-hitters.

Rox v. Sox starts Wednesday at 8 ET. My prediction: Colorado pitching can't hold this Red Sox lineup, not after so much time off. Boston in 5.

This is going to be super exciting! I sure hope Boston beats the pants off Colorado!

As a Yankee fan, I feel weird typing that!
