OAK 4, DET 3

That was amazing. If you saw it in a baseball movie, you'd think it was fake.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, jokes about managers bunting proliferated...and in the pool, one Bunting clambered into first place. (Don't worry; it won't last.)

Points:
Cabrera: 1
Cespedes: 1
Fielder: 5

Griffin: 6
Scherzer: 12.33

Leaders and last licks, after the jump.
Bunting II: 50
Winners O'Reilly: 49.33
Cameron I: 48.67
Wonsetler I: 48.33
Wild O'Reilly: 48
Johnson I: 47.67
Reid: 46
Green: 45
Johnson II: 43.33
Bingham I: 43
Rogers: 42.67
Bunting I: 42.33
Bingham II: 41
Richie Richardson: 40
Phillips: 38
Shotwell, Tormey: 37.33
Cameron II: 35.33
Broomfield/Romine: 34.67
Wonsetler II: 30.66
Quinn: 30.33
Ramos: 29.33

As you can see, it's still very tight -- those in the money are separated by less than a point and a half; top five by only 2 points; 14 people within 10 points. And while it's nice to have the sun on my face for a few hours here, let's face it, that slate will be down to a single pitcher by the end of the day no matter what, so this is the end of that, I'm guessing. In other words, don't get discouraged yet.

Another full day today. 1 PM: SF at CIN, Game 5, Cain on the hill. 4 PM, STL at WAS, Lohse on the hill. 7:30, BAL at NYY. 9:30, DET at OAK, Game 5, Verlander and Parker both on the hill.

Buckle up.

Do I get points for Votto pitching me a cell phone plan on Cincy radio? Because god knows he needs to get me points somehow.
