Of course, those standings will shuffle around as of this evening...and we have a number of entrants with no picks remaining. It doesn't usually happen so early in the proceedings unless the Cubs are involved (heh), but the point does come every year when we have to bid farewell to some poolies, so if all your picks got punted as of last night, you are hereby thanked for your yeoman service, but your name will no longer appear in the updates.

Friends, please pour one out for
Tom
the Warrens
Maria 1
Lauren
Broomfield, ironically
Ben 1
Jill Hate
Costa 1
Tim 2

Everyone who's out, my condolences -- and thanks for joining the '11 pool. I hope I'll see you again next year. (Or in the comments for the rest of the postseason.) Everyone who's still in it, the ALCS starts at 8:30 ET tonight with two pitching picks on the hill -- good luck!

Roy Halliday, I will miss you and your reliable pointage. Brewers and Tigers, it's up to you now.

Hi, all--

Warren here, from down in TN. Lousy luck this year. Putz was, well, a...less than stellar option last night. With Morgan's single, so went my hopes. So now I watch from a respectful distance as the more farsighted poolies fight for the money.

See y'all in twenty oh-twelve,

Warren
