LAD 5, MIL 1; Dodgers advance

I have nothing against the Dodgers; this just isn't the NL team I'd hoped to see go to the World Series. Then again, if you can't get yourself out of handcuffs at the plate, you're not going and that's probably as it should be. Still, I'll miss having Uecker on the call next week.

Lots of housekeeping to do here so let's get to it. First, the points:

Bellinger 4 (!)
Machado 2
Muncy 1
Puig 7 (!!)
Turner 1

Cain 3
Yelich 4

For Bellinger to have won the CS MVP is...not my interpretation of the statistics, but: sure. He was tied for least valuable, picks-wise, with Mr. Yelich, who at least did us the favor of departing with a homer. MVPool: LoCain. And our Shane Victorino is also a contender for worst hair of the '18 postseason: Orlando Arcia.

Leaving us:

Aguilar
Cain
Yelich

[cracks knuckles] Aight, let's look at the money. Three-way tie at the top...among three slates that are now all zombies, of which more in a moment:

58 Zombie MArbour 2, Zombie Fell 1, Zombie Johnson 2
55 Shotwell 1
50 Reid Hate, MArbour 1

Full standings and who's out, after the jump...

Everyone will appear in this update; zombie slates have an asterisk.

44 Richardson
43 Cameron 2*
42 Johnson 1, Yuhan 2
41 Yuhan 1, Bingham 2
40 JArbour 1, Shotwell 2, Reid Love*

38 SDB 2
37 Tormey
36 Crase
35 Cameron 1

34 Brady
32 Stempel*
31 DGB, Fell 2

27 Bingham 1
25 SDB 1*
24 Bauer 1*

21 Winklepleck, Quinn
20 Bauer 2*
19 JArbour 2*

Of note: 1) there is a complete Sox slate remaining but not yet in the money; 2) rumors of the deaths of DGB, Winklepleck, and Crase were not just greatly exaggerated, but may yet be avenged by their wildcat picks.

As for updates, it depends on what the picks do (or don't do), and it'll take a couple of games for the zombie slates to fall out of the money here, and for the slates with only Betts or Machado left to find their levels (barring a Game 1 blowout on either side). With only one game a day, if that, it's not that onerous to post the whole list. Let's see how we go.

Enjoy clearing your DVRs/marathoning Netflix instead of thinking about baseball, and we'll reconvene Tuesday!

Weeeelp, looks like the best I can manage is a third place finish, but only if Betts or Turner go absolutely bananas and nobody else does anything. Here's hoping for a great series, regardless!
