The game started off weird and intense, and I think got only more so, although I once again fell asleep in the middle innings and I suspect missed the real fireworks. I certainly didn't think we'd see the balance tip 3-1 in Boston's favor, but here we are.

Plenty of baseball left to be played, of course, but the Astros find themselves on the brink of elimination despite it not having felt, at least to me, like the Sox were really "in charge" of the games -- until last night. I'm not a huge fan of declarations about momentum shift, since they're so often wrong (well, mine are), but the calls the Sox are getting, the plays they're making, the things Cora's doing to try to neutralize the Houston line-up -- something feels different.
But these Astros are tough -- and with the pitching match-up allegedly Price v. Verlander, this conversation could end in the second inning. Heh. 8:09 ET is the start time; good luck, everyone!

What a crazy game. I can't believe that Altuve's home run was called fan interference. Reminds me of when that happened to the Jays in Kansas City in the ALCS a few years back.
