BOS 4, NYY 3; Red Sox advance

It's a wonder the teams could play at all amidst the hailstorm of hot takes on Boone's managing from Game 3, and I don't disagree with the "the F is Severino still doing out there" flavor, but I'm not sure the outcome of the series would have been much different. Might have taken longer, but if Stanton isn't going to hit, Stanton isn't going to hit. That "red-hot Voit" pick isn't looking so great either, let's be real.

The points:

Bogaerts 1
Martinez 1

That's...it. [Gordon Ramsay voice] Come on, guys!

Leaving us, not that it'll matter much results-wise:

Judge
Stanton
Voit

No poolies leaving us...yet. The slates with only Yelich left probably have no shot, but let's leave all that where it is until next week and see if Springer falls down a well with a bear at the bottom of it or something. I mean, not that that kind of thing happens to non-Mets.

Standings, M and LVPs, and the sked after the jump!

Not a ton of movement since yesterday. Money stays the same with Richardson inching up.

35 MArbour 2 and Fell 1
28 Richardson
25 Cameron 2 and Reid Love

24 MArbour 1, Brady, and Shotwell 1
22 Reid Hate
21 Johnson 2, Shotwell 2, and Tormey

19 Yuhan 1, Cameron 1
17 Bauer 2, SDB 2, Stempel, Yuhan 2, and JArbour 1
16 SDB 1 and Crase

15 Bauer 1, Fell 2, and the Binghams
14 Quinn
13 Johnson 1

11 DGB
10 JArbour 2
5 Winklepleck

Unless a few of what DGB would call the Dogs Of This Dow start hitting, this is going to be a samey set of LCSes. For the LDSes, Springer is the clear MVP of the picks, with Judge and Bregman also doing well and Lindor and Machado not far behind them. Our LVPs were pressing, to the point that Baseball Today did a whole segment about Ramirez's plate yips, and it seems like Bellinger's repeating his 2017 freeze-up; no points for either guy. Blackmon and LoCain also looked pretty bad.

And I have no reason not to give the BPP Memorial Flyin' Hawaiian Award for this round to one Brock Holt, who racked up as many TB in a single game as Lindor and Machado had in their entire serieses.

Now, it's the days of rest until the NLCS gets underway Friday night with the Dodgers in Milwaukee at 8:09 ET (...these start times are the dumbest; just start at 8 sharp! everyone's an adult!). No starters announced yet. I think the Crew takes this one in six. AL is back Saturday night, and I have no idea what to expect from that series, but would favor Houston slightly; that one probably goes all seven.

Grumbling, praying, and open envying of the slates of others: it's what the comments are for. Let it out.

I thought that Boston would have a harder time with the Yanks. I am also kinda surprised at how well Milwaukee played but I still think the Dodgers will beat them.
My ALCS/NLCS predictions:
HOU in 6 games
LAD in 5 games
