NYY 5, LAA 2

Glad I was wrong about that; New York wins it in 6.  Great news for some poolies, but for others, it's likely the end of the line.

More on that in a moment.  First, your points.

NYY: 13

Rodriguez, A: 2
Teixeira, M: 2

Kazmir, S: 0.67
Pettitte, A: 12.33
Weaver, J: 1.33

So...now's the uncomfortable part where we talk about who's not going to show up in the updates anymore.  Everyone still has at least one pick in play, which is a first for the BPBP; ordinarily, this decision is made for me by the fact that at least a handful of you have lost all your guys by now.

That isn't the case this year, but unhappy facts remain to be faced, namely that, if you don't have more than 140 points at this juncture, you can't catch the leaders.  Yes, you still have picks, but you share those picks with other poolies who have more points than you already, so you can't gain any ground.

Most of us bumbling around in the 150s won't gain much either, but thanks to a couple of unique picks that could change things up, the line is at 140.  Yes, I know Stephen and Matt "shouldn't be" on the right side of it.  They can't win, so don't let it trouble you unduly.

In any case, the following valorous poolians will now leave us:
LJ
John
Ben 1
Jill
Tom
Joe

Thanks so much for playing; I'm sorry it didn't work out.  I'm sure Kim will spend your money wisely, RIGHT, KIM?  [sob]

Moving on!  The Classic starts Wednesday, Lee vs. Sabathia.  See you then!
