A number of the serieses in the 2025 postseason haven't lived up to their potential; the ALCS doesn't have that problem. A certain Mets-osity to last night's defense aside, both teams feel pretty locked in -- at just the right time for a winner-take-all game tonight.
Some individual hitters have cooled, but that's what makes things interesting around here. Points!

Check my math/typing, please (although you'll have the rest of the week for that, too; the Classic starts Friday).
It's pointless to wool-gather now about who's got a path to what under which knockout circs, so I won't. Obviously a Mariner win is preferred from a pool standpoint, since it keeps more BPPers in play longer.
Is that going to happen? That's why they play the blah blah blah fishcakes, but: the Ms looked a liiiiittle tight last night; the franchise's history and the attendant pressure might increase tonight, or the do-or-die nature of the game might burn off the nerves. Home-field hasn't meant much this year, so that part could go either way.
The Jays have gotten their feet under them in the last week; I think tonight's pitching match-up favors them, on paper, and between all that and some of the complaining I've seen on socials about the Mariners' manager not making good bullpen choices (or quickly enough)...Toronto might consider front-loading the order with some of these Victorini and stunning the Ms into submission quickly.
Or they might consider ignoring some old giraffe in Brooklyn, since the line-up as constructed is doing all right? ...Man, I wish the game could start right now!
Until it does: good luck, of course, and I'll see you tonight to pick up whatever pieces we've got.
