TB 3, CLE 1

The Guardians have to be pretty pleased going into the AL off day; they split on the road. The Rays also have to be pretty pleased with refurbished Met Freddy Peralta giving them six innings and keeping it frosty despite some traffic, something he couldn't seem to do in Flushing.

I feel a little bad for the ALCSers -- MLB coverage seemed way more interested in Ohtani than in this series, and I'm not exempting myself -- but hopefully that storyline does what it's going to do and lets everyone enjoy the Guards/Rays series for its own sake.

I think some BPP entrants are enjoying it pretty well...

I read somewhere yesterday that offense is down like 30 percent from last year's postseason, which sounded right. I just cross-checked a BPP update from around this time last year, and the leaders are maybe 12-15 percent down from that in 2026. Like I said a few days ago, you've got a couple teams that don't rely on the long ball, and a bunch of players who do hit them that...aren't, so far. You just never know.

Dodger pickers at the top of our standings need their guys to open up some distance tonight. It's Gasser vs. Snell at 8 PM ET on FS1; see you then, good luck, and ping me with any corrections!
