Congrats, DC and fans! I'm happy for a lot of guys on the Nats -- Scherzer, Doolittle, ol' Drubie Cabrera and his weird hair -- and I'm happy Osuna and Taubman get to marinate in this all winter.
103 days and counting, y'all.
But enough about 2020; let's look at some 2019 points.
Altuve 1
Alvarez 1
Gurriel 5
Gurriel's dinger saw a couple of slates lurch forward, but it was not enough to overtake Fell...
107 Fell
104 Brady
97 Yuhan
88 Cameron
81 Arbour
78 Crase
And then everyone else.
The pool MVP for the Series is Springer, although the remaining picks were pretty close. Alvarez is again LVP for the Series, but if Hinch had started him he'd have likely gone to the other side of things. And the World Series Shane Victorino is The Tongue-Wagger, Juan Soto.
More postmortem after the jump...
For the pool in 2020, Altuve is the MVP; the LVP...well, it depends. It's the inversion of the argument for regular-season MVP -- do you pick the guy who had the least value, period? or the guy who did the least for his team? Seager only got four points, but of the guys who played all the serieses, it's Alvarez...but but again, of the guys who played all the serieses AND weren't sat because of the DH rule, it's Gurriel.
Overall Shane Victorino? I'm going to go with Adam Eaton. Slightly lower numbers than some, his timing wasn't nearly as gaudy as Kendrick's, but he always seemed to be on base.
Other trivia: all winner slates had Altuve and Springer; the top slates by the end were entire; my only-Bregman-left slate only finished one point ahead of my Goldschmidt slate.
...Another fun year, everyone, despite some lopsided weirdness after the upsets in the DSes; a reminder that payouts from a pool of $250 are 70% ($175), 20% ($50), and 10% ($25). Please check my math before I send payouts, which will happen tonight.
Hope I'll see you all in 2020, and that we've all learned a valuable lesson about picking Twins/Bellinger in this damn thing.

I've learned to be suspicious of any supposed MVP candidate player whose last name starts with B. I had TWO of them and they both sucked through the whole effin playoffs.
FEH. Next year, no B's.
Congrats to the winners and thanks for all the fun!
Woohoo! I'd like to thank Alex Bregman for pulling my slate up to the top.
Thanks again for running the pool Sarah, fun as always!
Thank you, Sarah, and hooray for the Nats!
Thanks, as always, for organizing! At least if the Dodgers had to lose, they lost to the team that wound up taking it all...
Thanks for running the pool, much appreciated!
