Well.
So...yeah.
...Hee! So, Victorino went loudly and gloriously yard and ended Detroit's run in 2013, and quite possibly our leader's time at the top, as Johnson One's entire slate poofed last night...but Johnson TWO still has all his picks. And so does Ramos. DUN DUN DUN!
First, points:
Ellsbury 1
Pedroia 1
Victorino 4
Cabrera 1
Hunter 1
Jackson 2
Martinez 1
Buchholz 7
Scherzer 9.33
And that leaves the money thusly:
Johnson 1 190.33 (0)
Bingham 1 182.33 (1)
Quinn 173 (2)
That's the number of picks remaining in parentheses there. More standings and what's next, after the jump.
All righty, so just off the pace we have
Birthworthy 169.33 (3)
Reid 168.33 (2)
Dunn 165.33 (3)
Tormey 156.66 (2)
Cameron 1 153.33 (4)
Johnson 2 147 (6)
Cameron 2 139.33 (1)
Shotwell 134.67 (3)
Green 134 (2)
Ramos 131.99 (6)
Bingham 2 (3)
Sheebell 125.33 (2)
Has Johnson 1 banked enough of a lead to stay in the money even though that slate can't pick up more points? Should I bother updating folks with only one or two picks left?
The first question, I don't know the answer to. Maybe. The answer to the second isn't that simple. If you have picks left, but share them with someone who's already ahead of you on the board, that's pretty much that. Your name is in italics to reflect that, and you won't appear in the daily updates any longer, but you are a jolly good fellow and I hope I'll see you back here in 2014 (please continue heckling in the comments!).
If you're NOT in italics, it doesn't mean you have a realistic shot, necessarily, but we're going to see how it plays out.
The Classic starts Wednesday night. In the meantime, rest, enjoy fall TV, check my math or plead your case for my continuing to post your scores.

It's really exciting it's turning out like this. I am pretty sure I can't hold on, but it's fun to worry about it.
