MIL 6, LAD 2

At the local earlier, a guy down the bar is all "so wait Ohtani is in the game?" Me: "Yeah, they're batting him sixth tonight, shrug emoji." Guy: "Wh...at difference does that make?"

Exactly, but at the same time, what would make a difference here? My previous wool-gathering notwithstanding, if it's not going to worsen any injuries to play him, I don't think it matters either way. Shohei looks bad; that's not the central issue. The issue is that the Brewers are better than the Dodgers.

A fair number of points on offer on both sides tonight, however -- and Ohtani did something.

Betts 1
Ohtani 1
Smith 2
Tucker 1
all other Dodgers 0

Bauers 4
Chourio 4
Contreras 1
Mitchell! 4
Turang 1
Yelich 0

Still crowded at the top, but in a different way! Here's the money:

51 O'Reilly and MArbour 2
50 Yuhan 2
47 Bauer 2 and Wonsetler Head

43 Reid Dumb
42 Stempelson
41 Green and Bauer 1
40 LoPorto 2

Everyone else after the jump...

39 JArbour
36 Izzo 1 and Fell 1
35 LoPorto 1 and Brady
34 SDB David
30 Reid Smart, Drake's Cakes, and Tormey

29 Wonsetler Heart
28 AK 2
27 Quinn 2
25 Cameron 1, AK 1, and Quinn 1
24 Bingham 2 and MArbour 1
20 SDB Goliath

19 Cameron 2, Drake's Dis Track, and Shotwell 2
18 Bingham 2
17 Izzo 2 and Shotwell 1
15 Yuhan 1

And all of a sudden, there's an all-Brewers complete slate that could nuke us all...unless it's Bauers we all need? Or a long ALCS?

No way to know unless/until they play the games! And they're doing that starting at 1 PM ET tomorrow, Tampa in Cleveland trying to avoid a weather system with an earlier start time; NL teams go again at 8 PM, and I have a feeling it's the last one, bless Glasnow's variable heart. (See any math errors in the meantime? Let me know.)

BAUERS POWERS!

Love how the series is playing out, but I wouldn’t count the Dodgers out quite yet (though their hitters look old & injured throughout). Hopefully we’ll have plenty of Brew Crew POINTS with whatever is yet to come.

I thought the same thing about the Yankees -- that with their pitching, they'd at least rally to win ONE, at home. Not sure the Dodgers aren't in their own heads at this point...

If they can win tonight, no reason they can’t take the next two as well with Skubal and Yoshii due up. But Brewers are relentless and you can’t expect to win scoring just 7 runs in 3 games, even in the playoffs.
