I love the postseason for a lot of reasons; one of them is getting to see extended mastery from teams and players I don't see a ton of during the regular season. It's so much fun to watch Verlander, and particularly his velocity rising during a game. Another dominating performance from the reigning Cy Young/MVP last night that the points didn't necessarily reflect.
And those points belong to:
Cabrera: 2
Cano (!): 1
Verlander: 11.33
Full standings after the jump!
Cameron 1: 115.77
Rogers: 113
Tormey: 110.33
Johnson 2: 103.66
Reid: 103
Bingham 1: 102
Wonsetler 1: 99.66
Winners O'Reilly: 98.66
Phillips: 97
Johnson 1: 95.67
Green: 95.33
Bingham 2: 93.33
Cameron 2: 85
Shotwell: 82.66
Mini: 78.34
Broomfield/Romine: 76.67
Wild O'Reilly: 73
Wonsetler 2: 59.33
Bunting 2: 58
Bunting 1: 51.33
Quinn: 43.66
Lots of points up for grabs tonight, in theory, starting with SF @ STL, 4 PM Eastern: Cain and Lohse on the mound, or so MLB.com is alleging (I'm hearing Lincecum is going for San Fran). But the real story, of course, is NYY @DET at 8: Sabathia and Scherzer on the mound, Yankees down 3-0 on the road. I didn't think the Yankees would win this series, but I didn't anticipate a sweep, either (and I still don't). A Yanks loss could spice things up fast for the leaders.
Good luck!
