Something of a hinky night for the pool, as Cueto holds up during his delivery for a time-out, then has to depart the game with a back spasm. That's not awesome for his lone picker, Lauren, but at least the single out he got was a K? Is...this thing on?
Cain, possibly affected by the long layoff while the Reds warmed up their substitute, was bleh, but was still creditable points-wise. And certainly Posey put in an effort with 5 TB, but it was not to be.
Points:
Posey, B: 5
Cueto, J: 1.33
Cain, M: 8
Standings, plus the four-ring circus passing for the LDS sked, after the jump.
Johnson I: 35.67
Bingham I, Johnson II, Reid: 27
Bingham II: 26
Cameron I, Phillips: 22
Green: 20
Cameron II, Wonsetler I: 19
Shotwell: 15.33
O'Reilly Wild: 15
O'Reilly Winners, Rogers, Tormey: 14
Bunting II: 13.67
Bunting I: 11.33
Ramos: 10.33
Ya Gotta See The Baby: 8
Quinn: 7
Broomfield/Romine: 5
Wonsetler II: coming to bat
...Yeah, it looks pretty anemic so far, but keep in mind that Washington and New York haven't played an inning yet -- and while I congratulate Johnson Prime, he's working that lead with two players already out. Today we'll see what's really up with NatGio, Wainwright, Carsten Charles, "Brandon" Arroyo, and Bumgarner all going.
With a vengeance. All teams scheduled, as follows (all times ET):
OAK @ DET, noon, MLB Network
WAS @ STL, 3 PM, TBS
NYY @ BAL, 6 PM, TBS
CIN @ SF, 9:30 PM, TBS
Sunday, October 7, 2012
