This isn't a super-shocking turn of events -- getting to Oswalt is not that difficult this season -- but here's the interesting part: MLB lists the probables for Friday as Carpenter and TBA. Not that I like the other options much better if I'm LaRussa, but starting C. Carps on short rest hasn't worked out very well so far. And who does Manuel go with? Does it matter?
